NILAI MID SEMESTER HUKUM BISNIS DAN ETIKA BISNIS SEKOLAH TINGGI ILMU EKONOMI(STIE) SEMARANG SEMESTER 6 TAHUN 2013
TIPS TO STUDY ENGLISH EFFECTIVELY BY TIKA NOVIASIH
1. Reading
Reading may be a fun hobby for a person, can be very boring for the lain.Kalau you include the second group, who are easily bored in reading, you should consider changing this habit.
Of course we will meet a lot of new words (new vocabulary), which can be found in the dictionary and it means more variety and sentence patterns that may be different from those we encounter while studying English. But do not we can learn a lot more with it? Make notes in a small notebook that we can carry it everywhere and can be seen again when we mau.Cara This provides an opportunity to add new vocab into memory.
2. Listening
Job listening may seem trivial and less regarded by many people. But in learning English, listening (listening) is the base we understand this language. Course can be started with listening to audio or audio-visual English.
This activity will be a bit complicated, because the English language has basically the real difference between written and spoken words. For example, the letter 'a' is pronounced 'e'. The letter 'i' is pronounced 'ai' and so on. But this will not be a problem so long we used to know the sound of the spoken word, plus accompanied by facial expressions of the people who speak it.
The next step, after listening to the words and pay attention to facial expressions are listening means. This can be done by looking at the existing subtitle in any English-language film. We can do it by word, or even per sentence. This method is better done if we have the audio-visual files (read: movies), because if there is one vocab or sentence that caught our attention, we can repeat again to the part.
Re watching a movie over and over again that we like also helps us to remember what the conversation and the scene is in the film. And will certainly help us enrich our verbal vocabulary.
3. Speaking
Back slightly to listening problems earlier, we've been watching movies that we like. We have also seen how our favorite actors and actresses scene. Surely we can easily imagine how their dialogue back. How to mimic his face, his lips, even body language and gesture it surely we can remember.
Try Imitate in front of the mirror 'speaking' which we did. It would be very helpful, because we can observe how the expression of our own in front of a mirror. Maybe if do it together with others still there is shame, because the fear of being wrong. But by trying this way, we can pay attention to every detail of the words that we speak.
Begin by saying the word for word. Notice how every word we say. Make corrections, if the tone and sound of the voice that comes out cause pronunciation (pronunciation) different. This will lead to a different meaning of the word as well .. By paying attention to how our pronunciation expressions in front of the mirror, will help us get the pronunciation perfect shape.
The last of this section, in my opinion, is out of hiding and seeking someone to our practice. Perhaps we have been good at talking with our shadow in the mirror. Now how to do it in real conditions. Which includes real here is how to overcome nervous when speaking by using this new language.
For this section, which must be done in terms of writing is to make the script first in Indonesian and then translate it into English.
If we find the sentence structure and even the words that are used a lot less clear that we try to correct and rewrite the whole thing in order to really feel fit and proper. Start writing the first paragraph alone.
To achieve this, try to think of one word that is, that we can use as the core sentence. Once he can, trying to make a sentence using the word. After that continue to be expanded by adding a new sentence or by upgrading the words that have been used in the first sentence.
