3. STEPS
Make sure your computer or pc that will be installed is connected to a stable power source is recommended as it will affect instal when suddenly quit in the middle of the road due to breaking of the power source

1. Installer insert your CD into the CD / DVD-ROM drive and reboot the computer to boot from the CD please wait contained CD.
2. You will see the wallpaper and window installation. Select the language and click the "Install Ubuntu 10.04 LTS" to continue.

3. The second screen will display a map of the Earth. After site selection, the system will adjust the time. Click the "Forward" after you choose the location you want.
4. On the third screen, you can select the desired keyboard layout. Click the "Forward" when Lu finished with the keyboard configuration.

5. You have four options here:
If you have another operating system (eg Windows XP) and you want a dual boot system, select :
a) The first option: "Install them side by side, choosing between them at each startup."
b) Option Two: "If you want to delete your existing operating system, or the hard drive is empty and you want to let the installer automatically partition the hard drive, select the second option," Use entire disk (Use entire disk) "
c) Option Three: "Use the largest free space constantly," and it will install Ubuntu 10.04 in the unpartitioned space on the selected hard drive.
d) Fourth choice: "Specify partitions manually" and is recommended ONLY for advanced users, to create special partitions or format the hard drive with other filesystems than the default. But it can also be used to create a / home partition, which is very useful when you reinstall the whole system.

6. The partition table should look like the image above. Click the "Forward" to continue with the installation.
7. On this screen, fill in the fields with your real name, the name you want to use to log in Ubuntu OS (also known as a username that will be required to log in to the system), password and the name of the computer (automatically generated, but can be overwritten).

8. Also at this step, there is an option called "Log in automatically". If you checked the box on this option, you will be automatically logged in to the Ubuntu desktop. Click the "Forward" button to continue.
9. This is the final step of installation. Click the "Install".

10. Ubuntu 10.04 LTS (Lucid Lynx) will be installed.
11. After a few minutes (depending on your computer specs), a pop-up window will appear, notifying you that the installation is complete, and you must restart the computer to use the new Ubuntu operating system installed. Click the "Restart Now".

12. CD will come out automatically, remove and press "Enter" to reboot. The computer will be restarted and within seconds, you will see the Ubuntu boot splash.
13. At the login screen, click the user your name and enter your password. Click "Log In" or press Enter.
